Beautiful post-- your writing reads like poetry. Love :"They are hope in one bite". I had NO idea that's what that plant was. Have to say, after 30 years of summers in NYC, I was so blown away by the smell of Rome in late June when I was there. Summer in NY is not a period anyone looks forward to on an olfactory level. But between the jasmine and citrus trees (and capers, who knew?), Rome is transporting.
Thank you Eric 😊 and you really do get Roma. Add oleander to your list of Rome fragrances (also helps reduce the smell of the cassonetti in the summer…)🌸

Perfect xx
Thanks for stopping by Angie 😻

I will download your prompts and have a great summer. I am intrigued about pickling caper berries as i just buy them in a glass jar from a shop.
I want to learn how to pickle fresh capers too. I buy them in jars or salted. Wishing you a lovely summer Kate, x
