Sending Warm Holiday Wishes from St. Peter’s Square: A Christmas Tree Video to Brighten Your Season
Monthly Letter - December
As the door closes on 2024 another door is opening in just a few hours. Thirty thousand people are already at the Vatican waiting for Pope Francis to inaugurate the Holy Door at St. Peter's Basilica this evening, marking the beginning of the Year of Jubilee 2025.
Whether you are Catholic or not, doors are symbolic of change and possibility, portals to something else.
As many as 100,000 people per day will walk through the Holy Door. Rome is expecting 30 million visitors in 2025. Perhaps you will be one of them?
“Il primo segno di speranza si traduca in pace per il mondo” Papa Francesco, 2024
“The first sign of hope should be the desire for peace in our world” Pope Francis, 2024
Wishing you the happiest of holidays from Rome and all good things for 2025. Buone Feste!
Michelle
